voice of the lord

We will post on this blog what the Lord is sharing with us as a team.

Each of us hears differently from God because He has given each of us different gifts and abilities. When we bring together what God has given us individually, it creates a beautiful clear picture of God’s hearts and His instructions and plans for us corporately.

April 22, 2020           Trust in the Lord

Proverbs 3:5-6  Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body and refreshment to your bones.

This is a familiar verse to Christians, and a prevalent theme throughout the bible. Trust is mentioned 83 times in the Bible, and it is something mankind struggles with. We desire to trust in someone more wise and powerful than us, but when things don’t line up with what we think they should look like, we bail out on trusting in God’s ways, and seek what seems right in our own eyes.  Our flesh is constantly telling us not to trust God, but to figure out what is best for us.   So we put our trust in our emotions instead of God’s heart when we decide we do not like the circumstance that God has put us in, or the unique path He has chosen for each of us.

When we decide to not trust God and seek our own way, despair and discouragement creep into our minds, words, and actions. Discouragement means to extinguish the courage of, to deprive of confidence, to lose heart. We must not turn away from God. That is the wrong thing to do, because:
  • Only in God will we find hope
  • Only in God will we find peace
  • Only with God can we find our way

David experienced years of hardships that tested his faith in God’s goodness and promises. God had Samuel anoint him as King of Israel when he was 15 years old. I know he didn’t understand what that meant then, and he certainly did not imagine he would have to wait 22 years for this to take place.  He turned to God when his trust was slipping away.  I am so grateful that he honestly shared his struggles to trust in the Lord all throughout Psalms.

Psalms 9:9-10  The LORD also will be a stronghold for the oppressed, A stronghold in times of trouble; and those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.

Psalm 37:3-7  Trust in the LORD and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He will do it. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light And your judgment as the noonday. Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.

Lord, I put my trust in You. Yesterday, I asked the Lord to search my heart, knowing full well what I was asking. Well...guess what? I was tested today. Am I surprised? No. I am thankful though. My weakness is my children and that is exactly how the test came. Every day I ask the Lord to meet my children where they are. Every child is at a different level of faith and I know MY GOD can meet each one of them.

I have to admit...Yes...I get in the way. I try to do God's job for Him. I see things with my eyes and I trust in my understanding. Just like the blog says, I get discouraged, lose confidence, and heart. When I see my children not living for the Lord or being rude and rebellious, I cannot only go so far in my strength.

My prayer is that I will trust in Him, for real, for real. That I will turn to Him because He is my hope and my peace. I will trust in the promises of my God, because He is faithful, even when I struggle.

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not WAGE WAR according to the flesh. For the weapons of our WARFARE are not carnal but mighty IN GOD for pulling down strongholds, casting down (foul) arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought (outside God’s powerful Redemption) into captivity to the obedience of Christ!” 2 Cor 10.4

👑Daughter, you ARE moving forward from captivity into blessed HOPE! My Lovingkindness is uncovering “chaff” and doing a finer “sifting” during this “gentle winnowing” of time!! Rejoice and again I say REJOICE! Shout and SING, raise My Banners of Hope at every Gate! No flesh may come to the altar, only Light and Resurrection! WAGE WAR on Deceit! Deception MOCKS God. It layers itself and glories in the fact if left unattended, it will separate you from greater intimacy with Me! Deceit is rabid (violent: FURIOU: going to great lengths In pursuing an interest or opinion!)in the soul of man!

You see, I heard your worship, that hunger and plea for more of Me! It came right to the place where I intercede! This “rubbing” is how I am answering that plea. It feels painfully-joyous and piercingly-hopeful, but OHHHH the comfort I am pouring out like rain on your heart! This painful-piercing is so that you may “comfort others” with Life and be “skillful in wailing”!

HOPE counteracts Deceit’s despair. Worship WAGES WAR on the arguments and every thought that exalts itself before Me! I reveal without rejecting, so you may see and repent! Only faith in My Son justifies you and no other foundation will sanctify!

👑Daughter, “Come back to the place of safety, all you prisoners of HOPE! Even today I declare that I will restore double to you! For I have made you for Praise, double fruitfulness, and Redemption! I have made you like the sword of a mighty man! The LORD of hosts will DEFEND you. . . He Himself will SAVE you! You WILL SPARKLE like the jewels of a crown, and like a banner lifted high over this territory — saying, “How great is His goodness and how great His beauty!”
Zech 9.12-17

“I know My plans for YOU, plans for GOOD and not desolations, to give you a future and HOPE!!!” Jer 29.11

👑Yes, yes yes Beloved, WAGE WAR with HOPE! Raise your SWORD of Worship! Lift her Banner HIGH to the Sky! Nothing is mightier than El Shadday!
