voice of the lord

We will post on this blog what the Lord is sharing with us as a team.

Each of us hears differently from God because He has given each of us different gifts and abilities. When we bring together what God has given us individually, it creates a beautiful clear picture of God’s hearts and His instructions and plans for us corporately.

May 20-21, 2020       Quiet Your Soul

All week, God has been speaking to us to:
  • Slow Down
  • Quiet your Souls
  • Hush
  • Be Silent before Me

And this is not just with our mouths, but with our minds. Yesterday in prayer, The Lord asked us to come before Him in silence.  You never know how much noise and how many voices are inside of our heads until we try to be silent.  As we purposed to be silent the struggle ensued in each of us.  As I kept casting down those thoughts, I was becoming more frustrated with myself. Why can’t you stay focused?  Why is this so hard?

This was still on my mind this morning, until the Lord told me He wanted me to see my unruly thoughts, and the way they take my mind off of Him. When our minds have a hard time being still, they hinder us from receiving all the messages He desires to speak to us. Out of God’s incredible patience and love, He said He was not moved by my wayward thoughts, and He is patient and will wait for me. He told me I need to keep pulling the reins back on my wandering mind, much like a jockey on a runaway horse.  That imagery stuck with me and really helped me see my mind can be tamed, and even more so than a horse.

As I have been pondering what the Lord said, I realized my mind is not steadfast, not set completely upon Him.  Immediately I thought of this verse:

Isaiah 26:3  The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, because he trusts in You.

Steadfast means to be steady, not wavering, not fickle, firmly fixed in place, not subject to change, firm in belief and loyalty, constant, devoted. The opposite of this is fickle, inconsistent, or unfaithful.  When I read the verse above, I can see why some days I do not have peace, while others I seem to have more.  Once I was challenged, I realized that even though I am disciplined in some areas, I am lacking internal discipline in my mind!

I believe the reason God is challenging His remnant in this is because He is calling us to sit at His feet in order to hear the cries of His heart and the instructions He has for us. In order to do this we must not be distracted in our minds.  This takes pure inner rest (absolute trust) in who God is.

God told us, “This is a holy week, a sacred week”. Passover is on May 29, and the Lord is asking us to consecrate ourselves in the days before it by training our minds to be more focused upon Him.  This purposed seeking of God will be preparation for what He will speak and do during Pentecost.  He is equipping us with holy power for this holy time.  He desires to reveal things to us that we have never seen before.  I urge you to take this week leading up to Pentecost as sacred - dedicated and set apart, devoted to God for His purposes,

I pray that we will all be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. May we all will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, pleasing Him in all respects- everything we think, say, and do.  May we bear fruit in every good work we do, and at the same time grow in our knowledge of God.  May Almighty God strengthen us with all power, according to His glorious might, so we will attain and abound in steadfastness and patience. May all of these things come to pass as we joyously give thanks to our Heavenly Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light. (Colossians 1:9-12)

May we all be blessed during this time of consecration and preparation!

Here is an excerpt from a prophetic word from October 1, 2017 Position Yourself.

Position yourself so you can see
Do not move from your position this day
I want you to come and stand like priests, you see
Stand, stand as I make the great command

Living stones standing in the gap
Between the living and the dead, I say
You must be living stones
You must stand, you see
Holy and acceptable to Me
An offering that is pleasing to Me
An offering that will not flee

Many are dying
Because the priesthood is not in their position
The positional leader is not hearing from Me
And the prophet is not speaking what I am saying
Pray for the priest to come back to his rightful place
Pray that the positional leader will understand
What I am doing in this hour
Pray the prophet will be like Mary
And abide in My heart
And hear every word I have to say

Blessings come with obedience
Your enemies are defeated through faithfulness
When positional leaders move forward
When priests stand in their position
When prophets speak the word of God
Then the people will move over
