June 24, 2020 Lull in the Waves

This morning in my time with the Lord, He shared this with me:
“This is a time of LULL between WAVES.  A time to spend with Me, to REFLECT on how I desire to work in your life, and what is HINDERING you from coming up the mountain on the path I have for you. This is a time to PRAY, a time to lay at My feet, and a time to truly rest in My Sovereignty!”
 
Lull means a temporary pause or decline in activity, or a temporary calm before or during a storm. When we are in a storm or a time of intense activity, and a LULL comes, we all have different reactions to the LULL. Some see it as a positive and can use the time for God’s purposes, while others continue in survival mode continuing to look inward to their needs, in fear of what might be coming next? (I have found myself in both over the last 2 waves.) God has purpose in everything He brings in our lives, and I encourage you to EMBRACE the LULL and REST in the Lord, listening for His leading!
 
God has designed this Lull as a time for us to spend with Him in order to:

• Be Strengthened to stand strong in our faith in our Sovereign God, knowing that He is in total control of all things and He loves us with an everlasting love
• Strengthen and Encourage others in their part in the Kingdom
• Be Kind and Witness to those who are lost and do not know God
• See judgment as a result of our sinful choices and God’s Redeeming Love to draw us back to Him
• Get Direction as to what He is doing in the world, and what he wants His people to be doing

The main areas God is desiring all believers to become strengthened in are:

• WORD:  Understanding His Word in a deeper and more reverent way, and sharing the truths of His Word with others
• PRAYER:  Praying for our church leaders and the brethren to be delivered from dead works, prepared for judgment, truly unified, stable as a direct result of time spent with God in the Secret Place, and completely obedient to God.
• WORSHIP: Pure Christ-centered Worship brings JOY to God’s heart as He sees that we truly love and trust Him, and Strength to us as we declare the greatness of God and the Blood of Jesus.

We need to pray for the body of Christ to be strengthened.  So much has come against the Body of Christ that has thrown us into great fear, confusion, rebellion, shutting down, depression, hopelessness, separation, uncertainty, and longing for things to get back to the way they were.  But does God want things to go back to the way they were?  I don’t believe the Lord has allowed these two waves of darkness to come against the whole world, just to have us go back to life as usual? With the repeated promises of another wave, let’s use this LULL to prepare ourselves and others to stand in Victory!
