April 17, 2020 Waiting in Prayer- Passover to Pentecost

The world is in a season of waiting, just like the disciples were between Passover and Pentecost.  Their friend and Savior, Jesus Christ had crucified on Passover, and resurrected three days later.  He spent 40 days giving His disciples final instructions before He went back to heaven to be with God.  He told them to wait in Jerusalem, waiting for what God had promised – the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:4-5). As they were waiting they continually devoted themselves to PRAYER.

As we are waiting for the Lord to return, as we are sequestered in our homes waiting to see what is next, we must be busy about the same thing – PRAYER.  God is gathering His people all over the world to arise and pray as never before.  Even though we are forbidden to gather together at this time, we have the technology to communicate with each other as never before. Let us also be of one mind, and continually devote ourselves to prayer!
 
Acts 1:14  These all (the disciples) with one mind were continually devoting themselves to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.
 
There are 50 days between Passover and Pentecost. Let’s seek the Lord as never before during these days we are in right now.  Passover was on April 8 and Pentecost is on May 29. Let’s be purposeful in these days to rejoice in hope, persevere in tribulation, and be devoted to prayer! (Romans 12:12)
 
During this time we will be sharing on this blog the instructions the Lord is giving us for this time – teachings and prophetic words.  Please position yourselves to have ears to hear and hearts to pray. God is desiring a great turning and returning to Him in these last days. May it be like the day of Pentecost when many will repent of their sins, and turn to Jesus as their Lord and Savior, being saved from this perverse generation. (Acts 2:38-41)
