(149) Hear my voice according to Your lovingkindness; O LORD, revive me according to Your justice. (150) They draw near who follow after wickedness; They are far from Your law. (151) You are near, O LORD, And all Your commandments are truth. (152) Concerning Your testimonies, I have known of old that You have founded them forever.

“Oye mi voz conforme a tu misericordia; Oh Jehová, vivifícame conforme a tu juicio. Se acercaron a la maldad los que me persiguen; Se alejaron de tu ley. Cercano estás tú, oh Jehová, Y todos tus mandamientos son verdad. Hace ya mucho que he entendido tus testimonios, Que para siempre los has establecido”

Our flesh says holiness is denying ourselves things that we like, but holiness is actually the path to special benefits and privileges. In this passage of Psalm 119 I see the PERKS (side benefits) of being set apart from the world for God. We should take great comfort in the fact that we KNOW (yada) God is ALWAYS NEAR to His holy ones.
• He always HEARS OUR CRIES to Him. (149)
• He is always there to REVIVE US – bring life back into us when we are down. (149)
• He is always NEAR to us like a friend, ally, or family who we can always call when we need help. (151)
• He always provides stability to our lives with His testimonies.(152)

Proverbs 18:10 “The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and are safe!”

Verses 151&152 caught my attention !!!

In verse 151; lt is wonderful to come to a place in God where we know that we know God is ever near us, even nearer than our foes. We believe in God's commandments and are sure that they are true. When we come to this point then, we are like a house built on the rock and when a storm comes we shall still stand.

Verse 152 - lt is awesome to know God enough to say, " Of old have l known your testimonies , and for a long time, ( therefore it is a thoroughly established conviction ) that you founded them forever " Amplified Bible.

God's WORD is established in heaven and they are never changing.

' Heaven and earth shall pass away but my WORDS will never pass away' Lk. 21:33

What a blessed ASSURANCE ! You can count on it !!!
