Day 11 - Psalm 119:45-48 - WAW

1/12/2020

January 12
(45)  And I will walk at liberty, For I seek Your precepts.  (46)  I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings, And will not be ashamed.  (47)  And I will delight myself in Your commandments, Which I love.  (48)  My hands also I will lift up to Your commandments, Which I love, And I will meditate on Your statutes.
Enero 12     Salmo 119:45-48
 “Y andaré en libertad, Porque busqué tus mandamientos. Hablaré de tus testimonios delante de los reyes, Y no me avergonzaré; Y me regocijaré en tus mandamientos, Los cuales he amado. Alzaré asimismo mis manos a tus mandamientos que amé, Y meditaré en tus estatutos”

True freedom or liberty comes when walking in His precepts. We never experience true freedom until we understand the precepts of God. Notice a precept is a general rule intended to regulate behavior or thought. Boundaries or rules allow real Liberty

The VAV is seen clearly in these verses - connecting two phrases and making them one. One is needed to make the other one be joined to it.

• Since I seek (follow) your precepts, I can will walk in liberty (freedom- no restraints).
• Since I am not ashamed of Your testimonies, I can speak boldly to everyone, even kings, about who You are.
• Since I love Your commandments (see them as a friend), I can take great delight in following them.
• Since I see Your commandments as a friend whom I Love, I will lift my hands to them (surrender My will to God’s commandments).
• Since I have surrendered my will to God’s commandments, I will meditate on His statutes (think about them and share them with others).

Psalm 112:1 Praise the Lord! How blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in His commandments.

1 John 5:3 says, ' For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous ' ( not burdensome )

The passage of VAV verses 45-48 tells us that keeping the laws, precepts, commands, statutes, and decrees brings freedom. Fear must go and love and delight in the commands of God
Will come in.

This freedom that causes us to love and delight in God's commands, also causes as to meditate with joy on God's decrees. At this point we feel so confident in his love that we can declare in response:
.
* I will walk.......v.45
*I will speak.....v.46
*I delight in.......v.47
*I love................v.47
*I lift up my hands...v48 A sign of surrender.
* Which l love and l meditate....v.48

This is commitment and it is freedom!!!
Thank you Lord!!! May l dwell in your WORD!!!🙏
