Sunday, Nov. 1st Pray for Salvations Joel 2:32
Good morning Lord, thank You for the rest. Today, we move to the final of the fifty US states. Today we pray for Wyoming. This is the state that has the least population and about half of its land is set aside for monuments and state parks, the land of the American bison. So we begin this day crying out for this state's legislature and city governments. We pray for the heart of the American people that visit or tour through this land for recreation and to experience the beauty of the open land You created. We pray for the federal leaders and the need for all to walk in one accord. Now, today, Father, we approach the end of our prayers, not as a final goal achieved, but the beginning of a cry for a period in our lives where we can cry out to You. Just as the great land of Nineveh, when the people repented, You had compassion. Father, from the king, to the animals they were wicked and You gave them forty days to repent. We have cried out in repentance for these fifty days that You might have mercy upon us. So as we head into a new week and into an election week in the US; it is important for us to remember what and why we are praying. Father, we have been praying that You would save our land. We have been praying that You would heal our land. We have been praying for peace in our land. We have been praying for unity in our land and we have been praying for salvation and a return to the one true God in the land. Father there has been many walls built up that separate us. Just as it was in Babylon, we have raised up in our hearts and have decided to build our own walls to the heavens. Confusion has come and caused us to not be able to come together because we have raised our accomplishments and made ourselves god. We repent, Father, for assuming the we are equal to You and for taking attention from You, for who are we to compare ourselves, the created, to You who is the Creator. We repent for wrong thoughts and as we have created our own idols, we pray that those idols within would bow. We repent for not recognizing the condition of our hearts. Our hearts are desperately wicked and we have not known that and we have traded the love that You established for the evil of the counterfeit, who roams this land, seeking whom he can devour. So we pray for our country, our America, our people, cities and towns. We pray for every kindred and nations within it's boarders. We pray that today, as we end these prayers, that You hear the heart of a people that desire to be reconciled to the heart of the Father. We thank you in advance for an election free of controversy and dishonesty. We thank you for a peaceful place to raise our children and our children's children. We thank you for the word on our currency that should remind us of who You are. We cry not as a symbol on our currency but a heartfelt thanks as we say GOD BLESS AMERICA..in the mighty name of Jesus our true King.. amen.
