Sunday, Oct. 25th: Pray for the Elderly Leviticus 19:32, Job 32:7
Good morning Father, today we pray for the great state of Texas. Known for its livestock and oil, this state is one that sets the trend for a return to the Father. Father, today we pray for Texas leaders and the ability to discern what is right and wrong. We pray the state leaders would take an active part and be removed from all fear of living ungodly lifestyles. We pray the local and county government would walk in unity to protect and serve the people of this state. From the gulf coast to the panhandle, let the land return to a place of worship to a living God. Let all your church leaders put aside their differences and focus on what is important and that is Jesus Christ, crucified, resurrected and interceding on behalf of your people. Father, we pray the altars of this state would burn brightly to signal, once again, You are Lord. Let's not forget where You brought us from and the need today to repent for the lack of commitment necessary to bring others to You. Forgive us of our selfishness and arrogance as a wealthy nation and state to think we can do things our way. Father, let the dry bones of Texas come to life once again. Father, only You know if You can bring these dry bones back to life. Let the breath of the Holy Spirit breathe life into a lifeless situation. Let that breath cause us to stand and take formation. Let that breath signal to a nation, torn apart by unresolved issues and a pandemic unknown to man that there is a God He is alive and in Him we live and we survive. Father, remind them from dust you created man and you are our God the Great I AM. We shout from the Rio Grande Valley to the Guadalupe peaks of Texas, a resounding acknowledgement of the Love of God and His saving Grace. Another moment in time where as a nation we can bow down to the Majesty of the one we long to see. Father, turn the tide as we enter into a transition period like none other before or none that will come after. As Elijah stated, let us no longer linger between two opinions. Let there be a choice in this nation that if our God is God then we shall worship Him. Father, help the coming generation find it's place in You, do what it takes to bring forth a band of believers that don't fear to acknowledge You. Father, let this generation have a hope and a future as you have promised. Let this generation turn to You with a whole heart. Bring us once again to the Altar of Praise and ignite our hearts to worship a true and living God. In the name of Jesus....amen
