Wednesday, Oct. 14th: Pray for First Responders including EMT, Fire and Police Psalm 22:19
Father we enter your courts today with thanksgiving. Thank You for all that You do for us, seen and unseen. Father, we pray today for New York, the state that leads the U.S. in so many different ways, from design to trends. Father, we pray for the governor of this state and the local officials first. Father, give them wisdom as they continue to be the center of attention throughout the world. Father, we pray for the heart of this multicultural epicenter to continue to be the heart of Liberty. We pray for the local state and city workers that tend to be on the front lines in every major disaster. Father, we pray for their protection, cover them as they go through their daily routine. Focus their minds on You, and not to be overcome by the cares of the world and allow distractions to pull them off course. Father, we pray for the local church. We pray that it can become a beacon of hope, just as the statute that sits on its shores. Father, I pray not only that it is a symbol but it becomes an icon for what America is today. Continue to remind the church of her purpose to draw the lost from the despair and hopelessness to a position of unity and love. Let love have it's perfect work in this time and once again we can realize we are nothing without You. Father, let it be not a church that just symbolizes what we have been called to but one that will walk into a role of leadership and guidance that will impact everything in its path. Father, let the bride of Your Son be the center of attention as it is on the wedding day. Let all eyes await the arrival of the bride of Christ as she is ushered into her moment of Glory. Let all eyes see the immaculate bride You have prepared for yourself without spot or wrinkle. As this bride comes to the groom let her be prepared for her new role to bring forth life and to nurture those who need You. Let the bride always be ready to give up her name and receive Your name. Father let it be so in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen
