Tuesday, Sept. 22nd: Pray for the upcoming election. Romans 13:1-3

Father we thank you again for looking over this nation. As we slept through the night you gave your angels charge over us. We begin this day with thanksgiving in our heart. You know the beginning from the end. With confidence I know you raise up one and bring down another. No matter the trial of the day in our country we will praise you.  We come this morning lifting before you the state of Georgia.  This is a innovative state that has taken the lead for change over the years. Georgia is the first state that had a state funded university.  Wesleyan College in Macon was the first college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women. Father the roots of this college was as most universities in the US started in the church.   Father you have shown that you have out out into this state a desire for change. We pray in this century the leaders of this state will have the boldness that you placed in it's heritage. Father we pray for the government officials and those in charge.  We pray for church leaders to have the heart to stand and demand change in the prayer rooms all around the state.  That not only will it have a history of being the first but a continuation of that leading capability to guide us through these times with their eyes on you.  We again ask that the people of this place humble themselves and cry out to you for guidance and support. To seal this prayer request we stand with those in this state that we may be one lifting before you our brothers and sisters in the land. Without this we can never fulfill the prayer that we would be one.  Unify us once again and let our focus not be on our difference but the common cause that leads to salvation an restoration of a nation.  In the mighty name of Jesus..
