May 6, 2020 Building a Worldwide Wall of Prayer

God has been speaking to His people who are listening to His voice to build a wall of prayer. This wall is to extend from nation to nation, under the banners of our Almighty Lord and King. These walls of prayer are to provide protection, strength, and encouragement to those who are weak and struggling.  God is passionate that His beloved people will not fall away from their faith in Him when judgment comes.  But the walls are weak and full of holes. 
 
Ezekiel 22:28-29 tells us that greedy false prophets, defiled priests, dishonest leaders, and people who practice oppression have caused the walls to be full of gaping holes. In Micah 6:8, we are told what the Lord requires from His people:

• to do works of justice
• practice lovingkindness to all mankind
• to walk humbly with the Lord our God

 
But we have walked away from these things to follow the dictates of our flesh, and broken covenant with God. God is a righteous judge, and He cannot allow these sins to go unpunished.  He must bring judgment, to correct our wrong attitudes and behaviors, calling us to repent and turn from our wicked ways.  The purpose of judgment is not to harm and destroy us, but to call us back to God! But since judgment is painful and unpleasant, our flesh cries out, “unfair!”
 
Ezekiel 22:30-31  So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. Therefore I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; and I have recompensed their deeds on their own heads," says the Lord GOD.
 
If God cannot find anyone to stand in the gap for His people who have sinned against God, crushing judgment will come and many souls will be lost.  God is crying out to us to arise and rebuild the wall of prayer among the nations.  We must cry out to Him day and night, on behalf of His people, so they will repent and turn back to God.
