The Road to Salvation

Our assurance of salvation and eternal life is securely ours, we only need to believe God’s Word and place our trust in Him. From the moment we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are rescued “(called) out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter  2:9) and are no longer condemned for our actions but forgiven through repentance. God assures us that all who believe in Jesus will  be saved! Then as Christians, we are to have godly sorrow for the sinful nature of our heart and the sinful acts that we do as a result of that sinful nature  in us.  We must pray daily that God will purge our hearts so that our hearts may know Him and desire to long after His righteousness.  Where sin is concerned, we must change our minds about doing such acts that  separate us from God; we must be willing to turn away from that which is sin and follow after Him who is holy.

Prayer for Salvation
Father, right now I confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, I believe that  you raised Him from the dead.  Forgive me for my sins- my words, my deeds, and my thoughts that were not pleasing in your sight.  Thank you for the grace given to me unto salvation.  I ask you to create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit in me.  I accept Jesus  Christ as my Lord and Savior.  Now teach me your ways by Your Holy  Spirit so that I may live my life devoted to You.  In Jesus' name I pray.  Amen.

What do I do now?
Now that you have joined the household of faith with other believers in  Jesus Christ, we want you to continue in this journey to knowing the  love of God.  Find a Bible-based church where you can grow in the truth  of God's Word.  If you don't have a Bible, be sure to make the  investment in your eternal life by getting a good study Bible.  Then  Commit to reading your  Bible daily and praying to God for wisdom and  understanding.  Your journey  to building a lasting relationship with God has begun.  We pray that you
finish well.  May God bless you!
