Thursday, Oct. 8th: Pray Nehemiah 1 over your State and Nation (Nehemiah’s Prayer)

Good morning Father we wake up this morning truly with expectations and hope as You have again brought us through the night into a new day. Father, thank You as we began our prayer today for Montana. A state with vast mountains and glaciers that remind us of your hands of love, carving a picture that shows Your great attention to detail. Today, even greater, we pray for our leaders of this state. Touch their hearts and remind them that you raise up one and set down another. Remind them that they are but mere men and the nation they help to rule over does not belong to them but it belong to You. We are but mere stewards of the things on this earth. Father, we pray for the church leaders to have a foundation in the word, not moved by circumstances, but focused on the will of the one who has power over life and death. Join the leaders together, that again, their focus would be the prayer you prayed in the garden "nevertheless not my will but Your will be done". Help us to overcome the desire to impose our will on those around us and forever look to the author and finisher of our faith for direction and guidance. You said the steps of a good or righteous man is ordered of the Lord. So guide our steps to create a nation after Your own heart. Even as we were created in Your image and you gave us the gift of creativity, let us use this gift to further the Kingdom. Father, in this divisive time help us to unite and overcome the political differences that has so divided this nation. Father, help us not put our political desires ahead of the Kingdom desires. Lift us from the pit of desperation to the place of peace. Father let us not lose hope because we know "Hope deferred makes the heart sick: but when the desire is fulfilled, it is a tree of life". Let us make the right choice and desire to eat from the tree of life, forsaking the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Let hope arise to greet us each morning as we face the various trials we must go through, knowing that we don't have to fight this battle. Teach us how to fight the battles that we must fight. Let the fire of the altars in our families begin to combine around this nation and as prayer is offered up the family altars ignite the nation altars. Let America, once again, regain and lead and the prayers of the saints of old be fulfilled, by again allowing your presence to be with us. Father I pray for our brothers and sisters without ceasing until we posses the promises of heaven. We pray in JESUS NAME.  AMEN​
