voice of the lord

We will post on this blog what the Lord is sharing with us as a team.

Each of us hears differently from God because He has given each of us different gifts and abilities. When we bring together what God has given us individually, it creates a beautiful clear picture of God’s hearts and His instructions and plans for us corporately.

April 11, 2020           Arise and Pray

Yesterday several of our intercessors were awakened very early by the Lord. One heard a hum all throughout her home like a trumpet. Two others heard a voice telling them to arise and not delay, they needed to get up and pray!   Knowing it was God, they got up out of bed and sought the Lord.  How did they do this? First they prayed for discernment, and then they prayed throughout their homes while everyone else was asleep. Prayers of repentance and forgiveness, prayers of cleansing, prayers for healing and prayers for greater faith, and prayers of thanksgiving. Then they sat quietly before the Lord with their Bibles open, and asked God to lead them in the scriptures as to what was on His heart.

1 Samuel 3:4  the LORD called Samuel; and he said, "Here I am."

Samuel was a young boy who did not know God, but that did not stop God from talking to him in the middle of the night.  He heard a voice, but he didn’t know who was calling out his name.  After waking up the High Priest Eli three times, Eli finally told Samuel to talk back to the voice and tell Him he was listening! No body else heard the voice, only Samuel.

1 Samuel 3:10 Then the LORD came and stood and called as at other times, "Samuel! Samuel!" And Samuel said, "Speak, for Your servant is listening."

When Samuel told God he was listening, God poured out His heart to the boy.  It was a heavy message of judgment against Eli and his family, and it greatly troubled Samuel.  But nobody else was listening to God!

That is similar to today.  We as Christians can get complacent in our relationship with God, content with our salvation, our works for God, and time in the word and prayer when it fits our schedules.  We must be like Samuel and my friends in the ministry and be ready at all times to hear the voice of God and respond in obedience to it.

It is IMPERATIVE we know who we are in Christ, and who we carry inside of us, the Holy Spirit, the very presence of God.  We must be ever alert in our positions as priests to hear the voice of God, examine the scriptures and pray His heart’s Cry!

Here is an excerpt for a word the Lord spoke over us a few weeks ago.

So I stand over you as priests today
And I come to bring you back to Me, you see
Like Joshua, I clothed Him so he could stand before Me
I clothed him and took away his filthy garments, you see
I removed his iniquity and gave him clean clothes this day
I will put a new turban upon your head this day
I will change the way you think and the way you pray
